A U-shaped structure, tilted legs, the base’s rounded edges, the play between empty and full makes for a very inspiring piece.
Joachim Jirou-Najou is a designer and a plastic artist. He’s a graduate of Reims’ École Supérieure d’Art et de Design and of Paris’ École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. “Portée”, his wall furniture project was produced and exhibited in 2005 by the Gilles Peyroulet & Cie Gallery in Paris and was acquired by the Centre National des Arts Plastiques (CNAP) as part of the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain (FNAC) collections. In 2009, he is one of the 10 designers of the year at the “2010 Now! Design à vivre” Fair.
