Pivot Oak table with two-tone folding top - Design by Gonçalo Campos
The Pivot table is a creation by the Portuguese designer Gonçalo Campos, exclusively for Habitat. Resolutely modern with its two-tone appearance, the Pivot is also a functional item of furniture. It was designed to equip the smallest spaces: studio apartments, living rooms small kitchens. Although round tables generally take up more space than rectangular or square tables, the Pivot table solves this problem with its folding top. It becomes a console table and can be fit along the wall.
As the Pivot table is round, it doesn’t have corners to bump against in small spaces.
Gonçalo Campos graduated with a degree in product design in 2008, then joined Fabrica (the Benetton research and communications centre). His style is defined by a mix of humour and pragmatism.
