As its name suggests, this lamp is shaped liked a ribbon, which transforms it into a highly graphic piece of origami, a sculpture, or a futuristic piece of architecture. The lamp is made from a single sheet of rolled-up steel, making it a feat in terms of form and materials. This creation by Claire Norcross, designed exclusively for Habitat, won the Elle Decoration Prize in 2006. The lamp is folded in France by a Toulouse-based company which has created two new versions, one in copper and one in metal. A black and white version is also made by a sheet-metal worker near Lyon (Poncin).
