A collection of exclusive photo prints: "A look at the world as it really is". A Crystal Galerie, AFP & Habitat partnership. DESCRIPTION OF THE PRINT: Tour de France 2013: arriving by night on the Champs-Elysées.
The peloton on the Champs-Elysées for the last leg of the Tour de France, 21 July 2013. The last leg of the 100th edition was fought against a spectacular backdrop between the palace of Versailles and the Champs-Elysées. On 21 July, the start of the race's crowning moment was held in the gardens of the palace of Versailles, which was celebrating the 400th birthday of André Le Nôtre, Louis XIV's gardener. Like every year, the last leg was fought to the finish on the Champs-Elysées. For this 100th edition, the arrival happened at night, and the competitors had to circle the Arc de Triomphe - lit up for the occasion - ten times. AFP PHOTO / JOEL SAGET
